TherapyAppointment software updates and changes
Stay on top of what's new in TherapyAppointment, what's improved, and what we're gradually rolling out.

When a clinician leaves your practice, their unlocked notes no longer have to stay open. Practice owners and managers can now lock orphaned clinical notes themselves, without waiting on support, so your records stay tidy even after the team changes.
Most of TherapyAppointment now runs on our updated pages, built to meet the latest payment security standards. This round covered pages you use every day, including client profiles, telehealth, the Income Journal, and client retention. Things may look a little different, and our support team is happy to help if anything seems off.
Getting started with ePrescribe now takes one less step. The substance use disorder records agreement warning no longer appears during DoseSpot onboarding. We also reworded the Billing & Insurance settings so it’s clearer what each option does.
Also new: more pages now meet the latest payment security standards, including Claims, Insurance Payments, and your Clients list.
Cleaning up old records just got easier for group practices. The Deletable Clients list now has a Therapist column you can sort and filter, so you can review clients by clinician before anything gets deleted.
Also new: more pages now meet the latest payment security standards, including billing balances, client merge, and your availability editor.
With safe names turned on, appointments synced to your external calendar show as “Busy” instead of client details. AI Charting also has a new Couples SOAP template. And when a supervisor changes, treatment plans waiting on a signature now go to the new supervisor.
Also new: more refreshed pages are live, including the Eligibility Checks report, and we removed unused code as part of our PCI compliance work.
Supervisors, reviewing a treatment plan with a new diagnosis just got simpler. Treatment plan updates now appear on the Client Access Report too, so changes show up alongside the rest of a client’s record activity. And while an AI note is loading, you’re free to leave Charting and get on with your day.
Also new: financial reports now run on our updated reporting system, so they load faster, especially for larger practices.
Your Income Journal now takes you straight to the source. Click any date of service and you’ll land on the matching invoice. Less digging when you’re matching what you billed to what you were paid.
Also new: behind the scenes, we’ve started updating the app to meet the latest payment security standards. You may notice small visual changes on some pages as the updates roll out.
