AI Notes automatically generates a draft progress note and treatment plan after each in-person or telehealth session closes. Instead of starting from scratch, you have a detailed first draft within seconds that you can review, edit, and sign.
Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how it works:
- Session Capture: At the start of each session, tap record on your device. AI Notes has the ability to distinguish between voices, allowing it to accurately track who said what.
- Detailed Notes Draft: Once the session is closed, a high-quality draft note is generated in seconds.
- Free, Unlimited Edits: Adjust wording, add clinical observations, and remove details as many times as needed.
- Final approval: You remain the ultimate authority over every note. Approve the final content to ensure it perfectly reflects your clinical judgment and professional voice.

AI Notes is designed to adapt to how you write progress notes, not the other way around. Rather than type, you can quickly make edits using common language prompts like “make this more concise” or “add more detail about the intervention”.
With one click, it’s easy to save your preferred phrasing and formatting edits. Future drafts will then automatically include them, reducing repetitive manual corrections.
Pricing and flexibility
AI Notes is available as an add-on feature for $0.59 per chart note, including unlimited free edits. There are no monthly minimums, so you only pay for the notes you generate.

AI Notes is a completely optional paid, add-on feature. It’s disabled by default in TherapyAppointment and only becomes active if your practice explicitly enables it in role permissions. If you choose to enable AI Notes, you can opt out at any time.
